I keep mine scaled to look like 1440x900 and have no issues. Apple’s macOS is a fantastic operating system and the latest version ‘Big Sur’ has been optimised to run natively on Apple’s new Apple Silicon hardware, allowing it to take advantage of all the hardware and power efficiency improvements. I got a Macbook Pro 15 2.8Ghz Intel Core i7, 16aGB SDRAM, 256 GB SSD, Radeon Pro 555 with 2GB memory, Intel HD Graphic 630, for my son who is going into architecture. The 13" screen is made to look like it's 1280x800 by default, which is pretty lame, but on the Retina MacBooks you are able to set display scaling so that it 'looks like' a higher res at a small (negligible difference as far as I can tell) performance hit. I do recommend the Pro over the Air, partly for the better RAM options (8 and 16GB vs 4 and 8 GB) and mostly for the massively, massively better screen.

Unity 4 and 5 run without any issues I haven't tested the full deferred path, but I don't see why it wouldn't work, and all the GI etc works like a charm.

Tails OS was designed to give users their privacy back through using Tor se. Im planning to purchase the new 16' M1X MacBook Pro but wanted to get the Logos community opinion on specs especially M1 MacBook Pro owners. Today we are taking a look at Tails OS 4.14 on my MacBook Pro 2014 (Intel-based).

Ive tried SnowGlobe, and found it ran well too. I running both the Second Life viewer and Emerald on an iMac and on a MacBook, and both viewers run fine. The viewer you use will, for the most part, depend on your personal preference. Logos can be very frustrating to use as its just too slow to handle any serious querying. As youve found out, you can run SL on a MacBook Pro. Also, it's only the launcher that is garbled up (and as summerian mentions, mousing over the garbled text makes it look right for a sec).Įdit: To actually contribute to the original question, Unity runs great on the aforementioned MacBook Pro. I currently own an old 2013 13' MacBook Pro with 8GB of RAM and its barely surviving. It doesn't really break anything, and the editor itself looks fine, minus the no-retina.
